Château de Pontarmé

Château de Pontarmé is a Renaissance castle with a fortified gatehouse, drawbridge crossing the moat, and buildings arranged around a rectangular courtyard. The structure combines defensive features with domestic comfort suited to noble residence.

The estate first appeared in written records during the 12th century under the ownership of the Bouteillers de Senlis family. It subsequently became a hunting lodge for powerful families who shaped the region for centuries.

The rooms were designed for nobles and show through their fireplaces and furnishings how wealthy families lived here. The spaces reflect the lifestyle that was maintained throughout the centuries in this location.

The castle sits north of Pontarmé village near route D1017, with direct access to the adjacent Chantilly Forest. The location is easy to reach and combines well with nature-based activities in the surrounding area.
