Collégiale Saint-Martin de Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

The Collégiale Saint-Martin is a church building featuring neoclassical design alongside a tall Gothic bell tower located in the town. Inside, you find marble baptismal fonts, a central dome, and painted artworks adorning the walls.

The original church building at this location collapsed in 1818, leading to the construction of the present structure starting in 1821. The old Gothic bell tower was preserved and integrated into the new design.

The church carries the name of Saint Martin of Tours, a patron figure venerated throughout the region. You can sense this connection through the decorated altars and the artistic works displayed inside.

The building is easily accessible from Boulevard Marceau and provides plenty of interior space to explore. The different areas are simple to navigate because the layout is straightforward.

An organ from 1923 stands inside and was later rebuilt, and today it can be heard during special concert series. This instrument draws particular attention during certain musical events.
