Pointe dell' Oriente

Pointe dell'Oriente is a mountain peak in Corsica that rises to 1937 meters and features prominent granite formations. Two broad ridges characterize its slopes and lead climbers toward the summit from different approaches.

The mountain sits in an area where people have lived for thousands of years, as shown by archaeological finds in the surrounding region. This long presence has shaped how the landscape developed across many periods.

The Col de Vizzavona region near the summit maintains traditional Corsican practices, including annual festivals celebrating local music and gastronomy.

Access is available through marked trails starting from Col de Vizzavona, where parking and road connections are nearby. The paths are well-marked, but checking local conditions and weather before setting out is wise.

The summit area contains four elevated points that form a shell-like structure, offering views of both the northern and southern sections of the island. This arrangement allows visitors to see the geographic diversity of Corsica from a single vantage point.
