Agion Panton monastery, Tritaia, Orthodox monastery in Tritaia, Greece
The Agion Panton monastery stands within a dense forest, positioned 35 kilometers south of Patras and 2 kilometers from Velimachi settlement.
Constructed between 1715 and 1728, the monastery features defensive elements such as battlements and bastions above entrance gates to protect against Ottoman forces.
The monastery contains three religious structures: a main church dedicated to the Annunciation and two chapels honoring Saint John and All Saints.
The monastery maintains regular visiting hours and welcomes visitors throughout the year, with special celebrations occurring during All Saints Sunday.
The monastery doors were specifically designed with small dimensions to prevent horses from entering the main compound areas during historical times.
