Budapest War Cemetery

Budapest War Cemetery is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission maintained burial ground in Solymár with 173 military graves arranged in orderly rows. The white headstones stand against green grass throughout the grounds, creating a simple and organized landscape.

It was established in 1947 to gather Commonwealth airmen whose remains were collected from across Hungary after World War II. One grave from World War I was later transferred here from another cemetery.
