Holy Name of Mary Church, Solymár, Catholic parish church in Solymár, Hungary

The Holy Name of Mary Church in Solymár is a late-Baroque church built between 1782 and 1785 to designs by the Buda carpenter Mangel János. It is 32.8 metres long, 12 metres wide and 11.5 metres high, with a central tower over the entrance; the tower was added around 1788–1789 by Marczibányi István. The nave ends in a semicircular apse, and the high altar holds a painting of Our Lady Help of Christians, painted in 1792 by József Ferenc Falkoner as a distant copy after Lucas Cranach the Elder.

A plague votive chapel with a painting of the Helping Virgin stood on this site from 1738; it was blessed in 1742 and drew pilgrims from distant counties, including Gyöngyöspata in 1757. The present church was built in 1782–1785 to plans by Buda carpenter Mangel János, its cornerstone laid by Perbál parish priest Veroni Pál, who consecrated it in 1784. The tower followed around 1788–1789 under Marczibányi István, and the completed church was consecrated on 29 June 1821.

The church keeps the September 12 parish feast (búcsú), moved to the nearest Sunday, which opens Solymár's municipal Búcsú festival. A German-language Mass is held Sundays at 8:15, and an Advent concert features local choirs and orchestras. A monument at the apse commemorates deported Germans.

The church stands alone in a courtyard on Templom tér, with the entrance below the tower in the middle of the facade. Mass is held in Hungarian daily, plus a German-language Mass on Sundays at 8:15. The parish church also hosts the opening event of the Solymári Búcsú, timed to the church's feast day on 12 September or the nearest Sunday.

The high altarpiece, painted by József Ferenc Falkoner in 1792, is a distant copy of a work by Lucas Cranach the Elder and shows the Helping Virgin Mary. In the crypt lies Jenő Karátsonyi, the village's last large landowner. A monument to the deported Germans stands by the apse.
