Yad La-Shiryon

Yad La-Shiryon is a military museum in Latrun, Israel, displaying more than 160 armored combat vehicles from World War II to the present day. Tanks stand outdoors across an open-air site, while indoor spaces hold uniforms, maps, and technical equipment.

The British police station at this location saw heavy fighting in 1948 and 1967 before being established as a memorial. During the 1980s, the collection expanded to include numerous vehicles from different wars and opposing armies.

A central memorial park gathers photographs and personal items of fallen tank crew members in display cases beside the vehicles. Visitors can search by name and learn about the individuals who operated these machines in combat.

The complex opens daily and offers guided tours in Hebrew and English. Outdoor exhibits require sturdy footwear and sun protection, as much of the site remains exposed.

A Sherman tank sits atop a water tower at the entrance and serves as the site's recognizable symbol. This tower was originally part of the British fortification and was repurposed after the war ended.
