Latrun fort

Latrun fort is a fortification located on a hill in the Ayalon Valley that commands the main route connecting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The structure combines military architecture with exhibition spaces and houses a collection of armored vehicles documenting military history.

The fort was built as a fortification under various rulers, including Crusaders and the British Mandate administration, before becoming the site of fierce fighting during the 1948 conflict. Control of the position changed hands several times until its final capture in 1967.
