Hadera River park, Nature park near Mediterranean coast in Hadera, Israel.
Hadera River Park is a municipal park running along both banks of the Hadera Stream in Hadera, Israel. It offers walking paths, cycling routes, picnic areas, children's play equipment, and restroom facilities placed at several points along the route.
The Hadera Stream served as a water source for farming settlements along the coastal plain for a very long time. In the 20th century the surrounding wetlands were drained for agriculture, and the area was later restored as a green corridor for the city.
The park sits within the urban area of Hadera and draws families, school groups, and joggers on most days of the week. On weekends, it becomes a meeting point where people gather to walk, cycle, or simply sit under the trees.
The park has parking areas near the main entrances and is easy to explore on foot or by bicycle along the marked paths. Early morning or late afternoon tends to be cooler and less crowded, which makes moving around more comfortable.
One of Israel's largest coal power stations stands right beside the park, and its towers are visible from many points along the paths. The contrast between the old trees lining the stream and the large industrial structures nearby is hard to miss as you walk through.
