Bhairabi Temple

The sanctuary was built roughly 400 years ago and has weathered centuries of natural events. An earthquake caused damage to portions of the structure, yet the core building has persisted.

Visitors leave flowers and incense at the shrine as offerings to Goddess Bhairavi, practices that form the daily spiritual rhythm of the place. These devotional acts reflect how the temple remains central to local religious observance.

Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes as the grounds have uneven surfaces and steps leading to the shrine. Early morning and late evening hours tend to be less crowded, allowing for a more relaxed visit.

Local folklore links the temple to Princess Usha, daughter of King Banasura, who according to regional stories visited this shrine regularly. This narrative remains alive in the region's oral tradition and is still shared by longtime residents.
