Maharaja Chhatrasal Museum, Historical museum in Dhubela, Madhya Pradesh, India
The Maharaja Chhatrasal Museum displays artifacts across eight galleries within a former palace situated along the Chhatarpur-Jhansi highway.
The palace turned museum was established in 1955 after serving as the residence of Maharaja Chhatrasal, who ruled Bundelkhand during the 17th century.
The museum galleries contain copper plates, inscriptions, sculptures from the Gupta period, and an extensive collection of Jaina artwork and Shakti cult objects.
Visitors can reach the museum via Khajuraho airport at 53 kilometers distance or through Chhatarpur railway station located 23 kilometers away.
Two dedicated galleries showcase ancient Sati pillars, lingas, and inscribed images from the Gupta and Kalachuri periods of Indian history.
