Aharji, Sacred Jain temple complex in Tikamgarh district, India.
The temple houses a monumental 18-feet tall statue of Lord Shantinath, carved in standing position with detailed craftsmanship of the Chandella period.
Built during the Chandella dynasty, the temple complex contains inscriptions from 1180 AD mentioning 32 different Jain communities that funded its construction.
The temple serves as a pilgrimage site for both Digambar and Shwetambar Jain followers, representing the spiritual heritage of central India.
Located 25 kilometers from Tikamgarh town, the temple complex is managed by the Shri Digamber Jain Siddha Kshetra Aharji Prabandhakarini Committee.
Excavations at the site revealed over 300 Jain images installed between 954 and 1275 AD during the reign of six different Chandella rulers.
