Ilol
Ilol was a tributary state within the Mahi Kantha Agency in Gujarat, India. It formed part of a network of smaller princely territories that operated under British oversight and were governed by local rulers.
The territory was organized during British colonial rule as part of the administrative framework in Gujarat. After Indian independence in 1947, such princely states were integrated into the new republic and lost their political autonomy.
The former territory no longer exists as a separate administrative unit and is now part of modern Gujarat. Visitors will find few traces of the earlier political organization on the ground.
