Restoule Provincial Park

Restoule Provincial Park, Provincial park in Parry Sound District, Canada.

Restoule Provincial Park spreads across 2,800 hectares between Restoule Lake and Stormy Lake, following the banks of the Restoule River to the French River. The grounds feature forests, waterways, and several camping areas at Bells Point, Putts Point, and Kettle Point for visitors with different needs.

The park was founded in 1963, incorporating lands from Patterson Township and Hardy Township while excluding riverbanks belonging to Dokis First Nation. This division reflects the arrangements made at the time between provincial authorities and Indigenous peoples.

The park serves as a vital habitat where white-tailed deer and other wildlife thrive openly throughout the landscape. Visitors come here to observe animals in their natural setting, making wildlife watching a central part of the experience.

The park offers three different camping areas positioned along different shorelines, giving visitors flexibility in choosing their stay location. Vehicle access is straightforward, and hiking trails connect the various zones together.

A historic fire tower stands roughly 100 feet (30 meters) tall and offers views over Stormy Lake, serving as a rare remnant from the forest fire monitoring era. The park also hosts one of Ontario's largest white-tailed deer populations, making it a special spot for observing these animals.
