The Castle House Rivaz-de-Nucé combines elegant architectural elements with a gabled façade and features a coffered ceiling in Bernese style throughout its structure.
Charles-Joseph de Rivaz constructed this aristocratic residence in 1754, which later transformed into a community house when the Bourgeoisie of Saint-Gingolph acquired it in 1837.
The ground floor houses the Museum of Traditions and Boats of Lake Geneva, preserving local maritime heritage and regional customs for future generations.
Located at Place de la Croix-Blanche 1, the castle operates as an administrative center and museum, with guided tours available through advance booking at +41 24 482 70 22.
Two coats of arms, belonging to Charles-Joseph de Rivaz and his wife Nuçé, remain carved on the lintel above the mountain-side entrance door.
