Pont d'Ébebda, Road bridge in Ebebda, Cameroon

The Pont d'Ebebda spans 1020 meters across the Sanaga River, connecting the regions of Center and West through National Route 4.

French construction company Campenon Bernard, a Vinci subsidiary, completed this infrastructure project in 1982 to link Yaounde with Bafoussam.

The bridge location near the convergence of Mbam and Sanaga rivers supports sand extraction activities, where locals collect materials using traditional methods.

The bridge deck maintains a height of 7 meters above water level, allowing vessels to pass underneath while connecting Ebebda to the locality of Botatango.

Sand fishermen work in pairs from boats, using baskets to collect river sand from the riverbed before transporting their cargo to Yaounde.
