Wang Tau Hom Estate, Public housing complex in Wong Tai Sin District, Hong Kong.
Wang Tau Hom Estate is a residential complex in Wong Tai Sin District with 18 blocks featuring different architectural designs such as Double H, Harmony 3, and Linear L structures. The estate contains approximately 5,900 units split between public rental housing and home ownership scheme apartments.
The estate was established in 1962 with 25 blocks and underwent complete redevelopment between 1982 and 1983. This reconstruction created modern residential spaces suited to the needs of that era.
The residential community of 17,116 residents maintains strong Chinese cultural identity with 97 percent of inhabitants identifying as Chinese ethnicity.
The estate is organized through internal pathways that connect the residential blocks to public areas and common facilities. Visitors can walk through shared zones, though some sections remain private residential areas.
When the MTR Lok Fu station was built in 1991, six original blocks from the estate were transferred to nearby Lok Fu Estate. This relocation made room for the new transport infrastructure.
