Wanchai Computer Centre, Electronics shopping center in Wanchai district, Hong Kong.
Wanchai Computer Centre is a multi-floor electronics mall in the Wan Chai district of Hong Kong. Its floors are lined with small shops selling computers, components, accessories, software, and second-hand devices.
The centre opened in the early 2000s, when demand for a dedicated technology retail space in Hong Kong was growing fast. An existing commercial building in Wan Chai was converted to serve that purpose.
Bargaining is common here, and many shoppers openly negotiate prices with vendors before buying. This is especially true for used or older stock, where the final price can be quite different from the one on the label.
The building is a short walk from Wanchai MTR station, making it easy to reach by public transport. It is worth browsing several floors before buying, as prices and stock can vary from one vendor to another.
Many vendors here carry used or refurbished stock alongside new products, sometimes at prices well below what regular shops charge. Some stalls also specialize in rare or hard-to-find components that are difficult to source elsewhere.
