Huaxilou, Historical theatre in Bozhou, China.
The three-bay archway entrance of Huaxilou leads to a 36-meter high structure featuring extensive dragon and flower carvings throughout its architecture.
Constructed in 1815 during the Guangxu Dynasty, Huaxilou initially served as part of a complex dedicated to the Danjiang water god Yangsi.
The theater contains intricate woodwork and porcelain dragon illustrations, reflecting traditional Chinese artistic techniques and mythological elements.
Located 200 meters from Danjiangkou rafting wharf, visitors can access this national protected cultural site for an entrance fee of 10 yuan.
The building employs a cone cage structural design that eliminates the need for supporting columns in its upper levels.
