Dragon Pavilion, Imperial architectural site in Kaifeng, China.

The Dragon Pavilion stands on a 13-meter-high platform with 72 stairs, featuring ornate wooden designs and detailed dragon carvings throughout its structure.

Built in 780 AD, this imperial structure survived five dynasties before facing destruction during the Yuan Dynasty period between 1279 and 1368.

The pavilion hosts an annual chrysanthemum festival each autumn, continuing a tradition that began during the early Song Dynasty with 1,000 different flower varieties.

The site operates daily from 7:00 to 19:00 with an entrance fee of 45 Yuan, accessible by buses number 1 and 20 from Kaifeng Railway Station.

Two lakes flank the pavilion, East Pan Lake and West Yang Lake, named after a traitor and a patriotic martyr respectively.
