Barbarossastein, Memorial stone in Lauratal, Ravensburg, Germany.

The Barbarossastein consists of a large glacial boulder set on a concrete base, decorated with a relief portrait of Emperor Frederick I.

The memorial stone was inaugurated on June 19, 1910, after local residents collected donations to honor the legendary birthplace of Frederick Barbarossa.

The stone features an engraved poem that tells of folk tales connecting Emperor Frederick I and Charlemagne to the former Haslachburg castle site.

Visitors can reach the memorial through multiple hiking paths, including a 5.14-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 80 meters.

Ten horses were required to transport the massive boulder from Vogt village to its current location in Lauratal, where it replaced the former Haslachburg.
