Nells Ländchen, Cultural heritage park in Trier, Germany
The expansive 95,000-square-meter park features winding paths, numerous tree species, rhododendron bushes, a pond, and a rose garden containing 400 varieties.
Johann Nikolaus Nell, a canon at St Paulin Monastery, established this English-style garden in 1792, which opened to the public in 1801.
The northern section of the park includes a manor from 1861, now functioning as a hotel, while an obelisk commemorates the founder Johann Nikolaus Nell.
The park remains accessible every day of the week, operating continuously from midnight to midnight, with multiple parking facilities available nearby.
Napoleon expressed such appreciation for the park that he presented landscape gardener Jakob Gotthard with a French dinner set as recognition.
