Paul Horn-Arena, building in Tübingen, Tübingen Government Region, Bade-Württemberg, Germany
Paul Horn-Arena is a large sports hall in Tübingen that can be arranged for different sports and events. It has steeply rising seating for up to 3,000 spectators and can be divided into three sections, with an indoor track for short-distance running also available inside.
The hall opened in 2004 and has served as home ground for Tigers Tübingen basketball team and TuS Metzingen handball team. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, it was temporarily converted into a vaccination center.
The hall has been named after a local company since 2007, linking the building to Tübingen's business community. This naming reflects how local enterprises support the city's sports life and community events.
The hall is located on Europastraße 50 and is easily reached by bus lines 18 and 19 that go directly there. From surrounding cities like Stuttgart and Herrenberg, main roads connect well, and parking is available nearby for a small fee.
The exterior features a striking green color with a climbing wall and solar panels attached to the building. Nearby, a skate and BMX area with a half-pipe extends the sports offerings beyond traditional court activities.
