Feng Ju Palace

Feng Ju Palace is a Vokema Madhouse attraction in Brühl, Germany, that seats visitors at a rotating platform while large ceiling projections and special effects create a fantastical setting. The room transforms through video projection and mechanical spinning to become a shifting environment.

The attraction was built in 2002 after a fire in 2001 destroyed the original theater that once stood in the park's China section. The new structure replaced the earlier theater setup with more advanced technology.

The story draws from Chinese legends and tells of a prince who must rescue his bride from a demon's grasp. The tale comes alive through the movements and projections that surround you.

Visitors must be at least 120 centimeters tall to ride, and it is best to arrive during less crowded times. The entrance takes you through a preparation area before entering the main performance chamber.

The main mechanism is a large table where visitors sit and rotate beneath a ceiling film that appears to shift gravitational forces. This stationary table and the changing images overhead create a confusing sensory experience.
