Colorado Adventure, Mine train roller coaster in Phantasialand, Brühl, Germany
Colorado Adventure is a mine train roller coaster in Phantasialand, Brühl, Germany. The track winds through three lift hills and several tunnel sections with rock scenery and wooden structures.
The ride opened in May 1996 and carried the name of an American pop star until 2013. After its introduction, it received several structural changes for noise reduction.
The name refers to mining in the US state of Colorado during the 19th century. The cars and stations are designed like ore carts and mining tunnels, with wooden beams and rocks along the track.
Several trains run on the track at the same time, so waiting times remain manageable on normal days. The ride lasts about four minutes and is suitable for most age groups.
Noise barriers were added to the track after complaints from local residents. The changes altered the character of the ride, as several outdoor sections were enclosed.
