Hollywood Tour, Dark boat ride at Phantasialand, Brühl, Germany
The Hollywood Tour combines water and dark ride elements through a 340-meter track, featuring multiple cinematic scenes in an underground setting beneath a roller coaster.
The attraction opened in 1990 after two years of construction, designed by Phantasialand founder Richard Schimdt with manufacturing by Swiss company Intamin.
Each boat transports visitors through recreated movie scenes including Jaws, Frankenstein, and The Wizard of Oz, accompanied by John Dyson's musical composition Voyager.
The ride operates with 15 vehicles carrying 20 passengers each, maintaining a speed of 2 kilometers per hour for a duration of 10 minutes.
Intamin developed the first curved drop spillwater system specifically for this attraction due to space limitations in the underground location.
