Mystery Castle, Indoor drop tower in Phantasialand Brühl, Germany
Mystery Castle features a 65-meter vertical drop tower with six gondolas mounted on tracks along the interior walls of the concrete structure.
The attraction opened in 1998 after seven months of construction, introducing innovative Air-Drive technology manufactured by Intamin for the vertical drop experience.
The ride incorporates a narrative about the Windhoven family through a medieval castle setting with staff members dressed as supernatural characters.
The tower accommodates 48 riders per cycle and reaches speeds of 72 kilometers per hour, operating with three different intensity programs throughout the day.
The structure contains mystical vaults, an ancestral gallery, and a chemistry laboratory, concluding in a Baroque garden that contrasts with the indoor experience.
