Jørgen Olufsen's House, Renaissance merchant mansion in Aalborg, Denmark
The three-story building features sandstone construction with a half-timbered section and displays wrought-iron anchors decorating its exterior walls.
Built in 1616 along the Østerå stream, this residence belonged to Jørgen Olufsen, a merchant who later became the mayor of Aalborg.
The architecture combines Gothic and Renaissance elements, reflecting the prosperity of Danish merchants during the early 17th century.
Located at Østerågade 25, the building currently houses a wine bar, restaurant, and school for creative writing.
The entrance area contains sculpted figures and decorative elements that demonstrate the craftsmanship of Renaissance period stonework.
