Madinaty, Planned residential development in Cairo Governorate, Egypt.
Madinaty is a planned residential community east of Cairo with housing zones, shopping areas, wide streets, parks, and modern infrastructure. Different phases of development are connected through a network of roads and public spaces.
Development began in the early 2000s in response to overcrowding in central Cairo. The project was part of a long-term strategy to direct population growth toward new outer areas.
The development incorporates 18 mosques distributed across residential phases and includes the St. Mary and Maregurguis Church to serve different religious communities.
The development is accessible by regular buses connecting it to other Cairo neighborhoods like Heliopolis and Nasr City. Each residential zone has service centers with basic amenities within easy walking distance.
Every residential zone contains dedicated service centers, ensuring residents can access essential amenities within walking distance of their homes.
