Egyptian Chinese University, university in Egypt
Egyptian Chinese University is a private university in Nasr City, Cairo, with a focus on technical and practical education across several faculties. It hosts colleges covering Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Economics and International Trade, along with a library, production workshops, and a teaching hospital on the same grounds.
The university was established by presidential decree in 2013 and opened its doors in 2016, starting with the College of Engineering. In the years that followed, new faculties were added as the institution grew into a broader academic campus.
The university's name reflects a formal partnership with China, which shapes daily life on campus through joint programs and international teaching methods. In the workshops, students work on real production tasks, giving the campus a hands-on, industrial feel that sets it apart from traditional academic settings.
The campus is in Nasr City, a district that is easy to reach from most parts of Cairo. Since the grounds include several separate buildings for different faculties and facilities, it helps to know which area you are heading to before you arrive.
The university runs production workshops where students manufacture and sell real products on the open market, going beyond classroom exercises. This means that by the time they graduate, many students have already experienced running part of an actual business operation.
