Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park

The 13,691-hectare protected area contains limestone cliffs, dense forests of black pine, and numerous caves spread across three distinct regions.

The territory gained protection status in 1972 and received additional recognition as a Natura 2000 site twenty years later in 1992.

Many ancient settlements and archaeological remains lie within the park boundaries, providing evidence of human presence throughout different historical periods.

The park features multiple visitor centers offering detailed maps and information, along with marked trails suitable for various physical conditions.

The geological formations host specialized cave-dwelling invertebrates that have adapted to life in the park's underground limestone network.
