Le Grand-Perron

Le Grand-Perron rises to 2165 meters within the Perrons de Vallorcine range, featuring steep rock faces and technical climbing routes on its southeast side.

The summit has been documented in mountaineering literature since the early days of alpine exploration, with routes first mapped by French climbers.

Access to the summit requires advanced climbing skills and equipment, with the best climbing conditions occurring during summer months from June to September.

The summit forms part of the Perrons Traverse, requiring three consecutive rappels on its western approach, making it exclusively accessible to experienced climbers.
