Chembra Peak, Mountain peak in Wayanad, India.

The mountain reaches an elevation of 2,100 meters above sea level, making it the highest point in the Wayanad hills within the Western Ghats range.

The name Chembra originates from local folklore about Goddess Sita bathing in the summit lake, which continues to hold water throughout all seasons.

The South Wayanad Forest Development Agency manages access to the peak through a permit system that maintains ecological balance and supports local communities.

Visitors must obtain permits before 2 PM, pay entrance fees of 20 rupees for nationals and 30 rupees for foreigners, and complete their trek by 5 PM.

A natural heart-shaped lake sits near the summit, accessible through a 3.5-kilometer trail that winds through tea plantations and forest areas.

Elevation above the sea: 2,050 m
