Ezra's Tomb

The religious complex contains a blue-tiled dome above a mausoleum, featuring Hebrew inscriptions and a wooden cenotaph within its walls.

The current structure of Ezra's Tomb dates back approximately 250 years, although medieval travelers documented visits to an earlier shrine at this location.

The shrine receives regular visits from both Muslim and Jewish pilgrims who come to honor the memory of Ezra, a religious leader.

Located on the western shore of the Tigris River, the shrine maintains regular opening hours and welcomes visitors throughout the year.

The wooden coffin inside the shrine displays preserved Hebrew letters representing the name of God alongside dedicated panels with religious inscriptions.
