Kūh-e Zendeh

The Kuh-i-Bazmán volcano reaches an elevation of 3,490 meters and features a summit crater measuring 500 meters in width, surrounded by desert terrain.

Geological studies from 1896 by Percy Sykes and Brazier Creagh established early documentation of this mountain formation in southeastern Iran's volcanic landscape.

The Persian name کوه بزمان represents this natural formation that stands as a geographic marker within the Sistan and Baluchestan province's traditional boundaries.

The mountain contains mineral deposits including copper, silver, gold, lead, and zinc, presenting opportunities for geological research and resource exploration.

Despite no recorded eruptions, the volcano maintains active fumaroles and emits carbon dioxide vapors, indicating ongoing subterranean geological processes.
