Porticus of Livia, Ancient Roman portico in Regio III Isis et Serapis, Rome, Italy.
The rectangular portico complex measured 120 meters in length and 95 meters in width, featuring double colonnades and a central garden space.
Emperor Augustus commissioned the portico in 15 BCE on the former estate of Vedius Pollio, dedicating the structure to his wife Livia in 7 BCE.
The structure contained a shrine to Concordia and displayed paintings on its walls, serving as a gathering place for Romans to socialize and walk.
Two flights of stairs connected the portico to Clivus Suburanus, providing access from the street level to the recreational complex on the Oppian Hill.
According to Pliny, a single vine within the portico produced twelve amphorae of wine annually while providing shade along the walkways.
