Castello Rasponi - Palazzo Grossi, Renaissance palace in Castiglione di Ravenna, Italy.

Castello Rasponi is a Renaissance palace in Castiglione di Ravenna with a symmetrical facade decorated with elaborate stonework. The windows feature carved lion paws, lion heads, and figural sculptures that demonstrate the skill of period craftsmen.

Construction began in 1550 under the direction of Monsignor Giovanni Rasponi, who served as bishop of Forli. The building later passed to municipal ownership and underwent comprehensive restoration work between 2011 and 2014 to preserve its structure.

The entrance hall displays the Rasponi family heritage through frescoed coats of arms and stucco portraits in the main rooms. These decorative elements reflect the family's importance in the region during the Renaissance.

The building is now open to visitors and displays its original architecture alongside carefully restored interior spaces. A visit allows you to experience Renaissance craftsmanship and family history firsthand in each room.

A distinctive well-head sits in the courtyard, quietly illustrating how the household managed its water supply during daily life. Several rooms contain specialized wooden cupboards with carved eagle decorations that were custom-made for the family.
