National Pinacotheca of Cagliari

The National Pinacotheca of Cagliari occupies a central position in Piazza Arsenale 1, housing collections from the 16th to 20th centuries within its 2,000 square meters.

Established in 1966, the museum preserves numerous Sardinian and Catalan altarpieces dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, along with works from Genoese, Neapolitan, and Roman schools.

The museum exhibits a collection of 171 artworks representing different regional styles, including medieval, ancient, and modern art pieces from Sardinian creators.

The National Pinacotheca welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 09:00 and 20:00, with regular admission priced at 9 euros and free entry for individuals under 18.

The institution recorded an increase in annual visitors from 9,805 in 2018 to 14,872 in 2019, reflecting its growing role in the local cultural landscape.
