National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari

The museum displays over 4,000 artifacts spanning 7,000 years of Sardinian history, from prehistoric times through the High Middle Ages in chronological sections.

The structure, originally built as a Royal Arsenal until the mid-nineteenth century, transformed into a museum through renovations by architects Libero Cecchini and Pietro Gazzola.

The collection includes the Mont'e Prama sculptures, representing warriors, archers, and boxers, marking early Mediterranean monumental statuary development.

Located in the uppermost area of Cagliari, the museum maintains regular operating hours from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and provides wheelchair accessibility.

The museum houses an unparalleled collection of Nuragic bronze figurines depicting tribal leaders, warriors, and priests, discovered in ancient places of worship.
