Spiaggia del Bue Marino, Beach in San Vito Lo Capo, Italy.

Spiaggia del Bue Marino is a pebbly beach on Sicily's northwestern coast where clear waters meet steep rocky cliffs. The shoreline curves gently along the Mediterranean, backed by natural rock formations.

The beach takes its name from Mediterranean monk seals that lived in its waters and caves during the early 1900s. These marine mammals are now gone, but their memory lingers in the name.

Fishermen still work from the beach, landing their daily catches that supply restaurants along the waterfront nearby. This working harbor rhythms shapes the character of the place and connects visitors with the local way of life.

A marked path leads from the main road to the beach, with parking located about 200 meters (656 feet) from the shore. The terrain is easy to navigate, and the shoreline provides natural shelter among the rocks.

The beach sits in a cove surrounded by tall cliffs that create a sense of discovery and seclusion. This hidden feeling despite being close to the village gives it a special character.
