The construction of this religious edifice began in 1575, replacing an earlier chapel dedicated to the Immaculate Conception from 1536.
The sanctuary holds annual celebrations at the end of August, including processions, ceremonies, and the reenactment of the holy image landing.
Visitors can explore both the religious complex and the adjacent museum, which displays artifacts related to Marian devotion.
The high altar from 1627 exhibits baroque styling with polychrome marbles and houses a statue of the Immaculate Conception.
