Spiaggia di Isulidda

Spiaggia di Isulidda is a small sandy beach on Sicily's northern coast bordered by limestone cliffs, with clear blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The shore forms a protected cove with steep rock walls that rise directly from the sand.

This location lies near the ancient Tonnara del Secco, a tuna processing facility built in the 1400s that continued operating until around the mid-1900s. The facility reflects the long tradition of fishing that shaped the local economy and communities.

Local fishermen use this beach to practice their craft with methods that have been passed down through Sicilian families for generations. The place reflects how people here maintain a direct connection to the sea and traditional work.

Reaching this beach requires a 15-minute walk along a narrow path through Mediterranean vegetation on the hillside. No facilities or services exist at the location, so visitors should bring everything they need including water and sun protection.

Natural caves carved into the surrounding cliffs create small tidal pools where visitors can watch marine creatures in sheltered waters. These rock formations also provide shade and shelter during hot days.
