Biancospino di Vallonica, Remarkable tree in Assisi, Italy.

The Biancospino di Vallonica stands 7.5 meters tall with a trunk circumference of 2.6 meters, located at an elevation of 1085 meters on Monte Subasio.

The Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies has registered this ancient hawthorn tree in the list of trees with significant regional interest in Umbria.

This hawthorn tree represents the natural heritage of Monte Subasio, with its white spring blossoms creating a connection to the natural elements of Saint Francis.

Visitors can find this monumental tree 500 meters south of the Vallonica refuge, following a pathway that leads from the old building.
