Minami-Ōsawa Station is a railway station in Hachiōji with two side platforms serving two tracks, positioned above the railway lines. The overtrack structure allows passengers to move easily through the building without crossing grade-level obstacles.
The station opened on May 21, 1988 as the western terminus of the Sagamihara Line. When the line extended to Hashimoto in 1990, it became an intermediate stop on the expanded route.
The station connects to Mitsui Outlet Park Tama, designed with French Provence architectural elements and containing 110 retail establishments and dining venues.
The station handles tens of thousands of passengers daily and connects the area to major transportation hubs like Chofu and Hashimoto. Visitors will find regular service to shopping districts and commercial areas in the surrounding region.
