Chiba-Chūō Station, Elevated railway station in Honchibachō, Japan
Chiba-Chūō Station is an elevated railway station in Chiba operated by Keisei Electric Railway, serving as the terminal point for two separate train lines. The facility features two side platforms at height and a ground-level station building that connects passengers to different services.
The station originally opened in 1921 under the name Chiba Station but was damaged during air raids in 1945. It was subsequently rebuilt and relocated to its current elevated location in 1958.
The station numbering system, introduced in 2010, assigned Chiba-Chūō Station the designation KS60, following Japanese railway identification standards.
The station can be accessed via multiple entrances with stairs and elevators leading to the elevated platforms. Visitors should note that the two train lines operate on separate platforms, so identifying the correct line before entering is helpful for smooth navigation.
Platform arrangements divide services between Platform 1 for Keisei Chiba Line and Platform 2 for Keisei Chihara Line, operating as a dead-end configuration.
