Inuboh Station, railway station in Chōshi, Chiba prefecture, Japan
Inuboh Station is an above-ground railway station in the city of Choshi, in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, and is currently in active use. It sits along a regional line and connects the area near Cape Inubosaki with the center of Choshi.
The station opened in the early 20th century as part of the expansion of the regional railway network on the Choshi peninsula. It has been operated by the Choshi Electric Railway and has remained one of the line's endpoints ever since.
The station sits close to Cape Inubosaki and works well as a starting point for exploring the coastline on foot. It is worth checking train frequency in advance, as service on this regional line runs only a few times a day.
The station takes its name from Cape Inubosaki, which means 'dog's nose' in Japanese and refers to the shape of the headland. The cape is also known for its lighthouse, one of the oldest still operating in Japan.
