Kiyosato Station is a railway station in Hokuto, Yamanashi, situated on the Koumi Line. It features two ground-level platforms connected by a level crossing.
The Japanese Government Railways established this station in July 1933. It transferred to the East Japan Railway Company following the 1987 privatization of the national rail system.
The station connects visitors to the Kiyosato Educational Experiment Program, founded in 1938 to promote educational and cultural exchange. This initiative continues to shape the local identity today.
The station has been unmanned since March 2024, requiring passengers to manage ticket purchases independently. Visitors should familiarize themselves with the automatic ticketing system before arrival.
At 1,275 meters (4,183 feet) above sea level, this station ranks as the second highest in the JR East network. It also marks the maximum elevation point in Yamanashi Prefecture.
