The Kamei Museum is an art museum in Sendai that displays paintings, sculptures, and kokeshi dolls across multiple exhibition spaces. The collections also include substantial holdings of insects and other natural specimens.
The museum was established in 1994 to mark the 90th anniversary of Kamei Corporation, a Sendai trading company that has supported cultural projects. Its founding reflects how businesses in Japan commit to preserving cultural legacies.
