LAGUNA TEN BOSCH, Theme park complex in Gamagori, Japan
Laguna Ten Bosch is a leisure complex on the shore of Mikawa Bay in Aichi Prefecture, combining rides, shops, and accommodations. The facility spreads across several interconnected zones with water attractions, gardens, and walkways that follow the coastline.
The complex opened in the spring of 2001 as part of a larger coastal development project in the Chūbu region. Over the following years, hotels, a shopping center, and additional water attractions were added, broadening the offer.
The complex takes its name from the Dutch city of 's-Hertogenbosch, whose historical architecture serves as inspiration. Walking through the grounds, visitors notice canals and bridges that recall European harbor towns, creating a contrast with the Japanese coastal landscape.
A free shuttle bus connects Gamagori Station with the complex in about 15 minutes. The facility is also suitable for visitors with reduced mobility, and many areas are easily accessible.
In summer, evening light shows take place over the wave pool, combining projections and music. The waves reach heights of up to one meter, which is notable for such facilities in Japan.
