Kaminogō Castle, Medieval castle in Gamagori, Japan

The castle extends across 200 meters in length and 100 meters in width, positioned on a hill overlooking Mikawawan bay in Aichi Prefecture.

In 1562, Tokugawa Ieyasu conducted a successful siege against the Imagawa clan, capturing the castle from Udono Nagateru during the Sengoku period.

The design follows traditional Japanese castle architecture, incorporating defensive clay walls and strategic moats that defined military structures of that era.

The castle grounds now contain residential areas and mandarin orange fields, with specific walking paths designated for visitors to explore the remains.

The ninja commander Hattori Hanzo executed a critical operation at this castle to rescue Tokugawa Ieyasu's daughters during the 1562 siege.
